• If your Ford pickup has a tailgate assist handle mounted on the tailgate, this will interfere with the DECKED unit. You can easily remove the handle, and the tailgate step will not impact the installation or use of your DECKED unit.

This DECKED system integrates with a Ram 1500 manufactured from 2009 to 2018 with a 8' bed length. It also fits the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Edition body style with a 8' bed length. It takes a standard bed DECKED system. This DECKED system is designed for your 8' bed; however, the system is NOT 8' long. It takes a standard bed DECKED system that is 75.25" long. You will have 18.5" of open space at the cabside end of your bed.

NOTE: 2019 Ram 1500: Since 2019 was a transition year, Ram produced old and new body styles for the 2019 1500 pickup. If you have the new body style 2019 Ram 1500 standard bed, you will need the DECKED System DR7. For more information about the 2019 Ram 1500 CLICK HERE.

NOTE: Because the standard DECKED system is 75.25", there will be about 2.8" of empty space between the tailgate end of the DECKED system and the tailgate (blue area on image below). DECKED drawers require 4" to be opened, but the first 5 1/2" of the drawer are taken up by the handle cavity and drawer taper. Thus, it is nearly impossible to remove anything from the drawers with the tailgate closed.

Installation:
Assembly requires basic hand tools. Please follow our written instructions as well as step-by-step video tutorials:

 Easy To Remove & Reinstall:
Once DECKED is installed in the vehicle, removal or re-installation only requires about 15-20 minutes using basic hand tools. DECKED comes apart into four major pieces and can be stacked neatly until it’s time to reinstall.
